Why families choose us

We want the dentist to feel like a normal Tuesday: a chat, a look, a sticker, and home in time for tea.

Brightmoss has looked after families in Tansy Cross since 2009. Two practices, fourteen people, and the same promise at both: we explain before we do anything, and nobody gets rushed.

Your visit

How a first visit works

Five small steps, the same for a three-year-old and a seventy-three-year-old.

  1. 01

    Say hello

Send a request, call, or pop in. Tell us who's coming and when suits you, and we'll confirm within a day.

  2. 02

    Meet the room

Kids sit in the chair, press the buttons and meet the mirror before anything happens. Grown-ups get a cup of tea.

  3. 03

    A calm look

We check teeth, gums and bite, and show you photos on screen as we go. You can ask us to stop at any time.

  4. 04

    A plan with prices

If anything needs doing, you get a written plan with the cost up front. No surprises, no pressure.

  5. 05

    See you soon

We text a reminder before your next check-up, usually in six months. Kids get theirs on a postcard.

FAQ

Questions parents ask us

Can't find yours? Ask it in the booking form, or call the front desk.

Ask a question

Visits and children

When should my child first see a dentist?

When the first tooth appears, or by their first birthday. Early visits are short and mostly about getting used to us, and they're free for under-3s.

Can I stay with my child during the visit?

Always. You can sit right beside the chair, and brothers and sisters are welcome in the room too.

I'm nervous about the dentist. What can you do?

Tell us when you book. We'll give you a longer slot, explain each step before we do it, and agree a hand signal that means stop.

Do you see people who aren't registered?

Yes, for emergencies. Call from 8:00 on a weekday and we'll find you a same-day slot at either practice.

Plans and payment

How does the Family Plan work?

You pay a fixed amount each month by direct debit. It covers two check-ups and two hygiene visits a year for each adult, and children under 18 join free.

Can I spread the cost of clear aligners?

Yes, over twelve months with no interest. We'll go through the numbers at your consultation, with nothing to sign on the day.

What if I need to cancel?

Let us know 24 hours before, by phone or email, so we can offer the slot to someone else. There's no charge for that.
